Jacko and I are going to need to move in July because the lease of the lady we rent a room from is up.
I'm not *too* worried about her, given that I know how to manage/reduce a lot of her calls and reduce the frequency/volume of the noise she does make plus get rid of undesirable sound.
So birdie bootcamp is till July to make sure she's behaving well and ready.
With a little tweaking she's absolutely apartment friendly as she's quieter than a lot of the small parrots in the frequency of her noise making.
The one BIG problem that I don't know how to fix is her instinctive contact/excitement call.
Its a really harsh electronic screech and whoop.
It literally goes BOOOOOOP!...EEEEK!
Its not a call for attention, or a sound thats as a result of her being unhappy (lights are still on, late going to bed...etc) both of which I can either modify or get rid of.
Whether I answer the call or not she seems to make it.
If someone or something thumps/bangs in the house she makes it.
If someone opens the door/leaves she makes it. Whether we respond or do nothing she does it 1-3 times and then is quiet.
I'm worried about us getting thrown out because of noise.
Any suggestions? I'm a bit puzzled at how to deal with it.
