Cardboard, Paper, Plastic !?

Hey guys!
My African grey loves to climb down the cage and start chewing on the paper. He also likes plastic toys but he destroys them(literally). I have also heard that cardboard toys can be good for him? I have a ton of cardboard in the garage and can frankly think of many toys for the bird..
So is safe for parrots to chew on and break of pieces of both paper, cardboard and plastic toys?

As long as there is no ink or poison chemicals or anything in the paper or cardboard birds can definitely chew on it. My LOVES to destroy and chew on paper and cardboard etc, most birds do. Thats totally fine and you can make great toys from cardboard.

However I can't say I know much on plastic. Im not sure on that. Guess it depends what plastic... I really don't know. My is all about paper and cardboard

You don't want him chewing on printed paper and ideally it should be unbleached. Also with cardboard be careful of other factors such as the glue in toilet rolls and the roll inside kitchen paper, which is not suitable for birds.
