 parent fed birds are healthier and no it won't be too difficult to tame. give him aday or 2 to get used to his new home let him stay in the cage. when he settles open the door to let him come out on his own while you sit by his cage. put your hand out to let him explore them even hand fed birds that have been handled by people will be afraid of your hands. once he's comfortable with your hands you can pet him or pick him up.

hi. still wondering. will it be hard to tame. and does the king cage with michael have for the big bird. fit for an senegal. think it looks really nice after the picture. but havent seen it in real life!! :(((.. and another thing im wondering about. got the senegal some days after age of 3.5 months old. but it was missing some feathers. how long do i have to wait. til they grow all out?.. shes born 14 january.. and got it there. around may sometime.. called her jasmine! :).. pretty nice bird btw.. bought a new cage. had been ordering from sweden ( im living in norway .. ) but forgot to check bar spacing. because the homepage didnt say. just figured its an " default " cage for every parrot. but i was wrong. and it got her head in between the bars. so put it away. and took my old cage in use ( ones again.. ) kinda sad. because it was an brand new cage. and looks really good. * lol * but that wont help me any longer!!!..

All taming is hard work... if you're not prepared for hard work don't get a bird... much less a parent raised if you're not willing to have patience and put in the work. So yes it will be hard but so worthwhile.

Her feathers should all be grown in... if tehy aren't growing then you need to get her checked by an avian vet...
