Senegal Issues

Postby Rebellious » Tue Sep 24, 2013 8:12 pm

Hello everyone,
I have a male Senegal named Sami who is 10 years old. He lives just with my and my fiance, and I am the one who handles him the most. Recently, whenever someone other than me tries to get him to step up, whether its from his cage, his perch, or my finger, he leans toward them with his beak open. Obviously to bite, as he bit my mother-in-law several times on the knuckle. And once people see that he is trying to bite them, they feel afraid/insecure about going in and trying to pick him up again. I can't have a parrot that bites whenever a person tries to take him out of his cage. Any solutions? Thank you so much.
