HELP my quaker parrot is scared

my quaker parrot Polly is about 3 years old. and she loves to fly so when i get her out of her cage she lands on top of the door im fine with that but every now and again she will not get on my hand and its hard have to reach up on top of the door (im quite short) so i am useing an old drum stick to get her off but she hates it any ideas on how to make her like it

have you looked up the recall flight training videos? I used treats and picked a word or sound they would respond to when I call them back. I know you're pain i'm 4'11
