I just brought two Green-Cheeked Conures home from a rescue to foster and socialize. They are very excited to see people and will come to the front of their cage. I feed them treats through the cage, hang out with my cockatiels in front of them, and talk to them. I had an easy time socializing my two rescue cockatiels but since these birds were breeders and had no prior socialization as far as I know, I am a little more hesitant on jumping in and having them step up or come out of their cage. They were clipped at the rescue, but my own cockatiels are flighted. I have done tons of research on socializing birds, but is there anyone out there who has some advice for me? I want to get these babies socialized and adopted asap because there are about 20 more waiting fostering back at the rescue. Thanks all!
