I understand, so it's fine :D

After a few months, we will be moving, so I also want to try and educate them as much as possible. It's really nice that they've been listening to my suggestions :)

If they have internet access maybe you could get them turned on to the forum here so that they can continue to get help after you move. Or you could stay in touch through e mail with them. I really am thinking of the birds welfare, although probably some about the person, but primarily the bird.

Good. Is it possible you are feeding another source of high protein during the day? Pellets, nutriberries, nuts?

Wolf- sadly they don't have a computer. He isn't a fan of phones too. I'll admit, it's been really hard to try and educate him about proper care because the general population here in our country think that birds are just for cages, and that the ultimate closeness you can have with birds is when they learn how to talk. But I'm glad he listens little by little, starting with a cleaner and bigger cage, chew toys, and proper diet. Hopefully, he will keep it this way, and not just for show when we pass by. While I really want the best for his bird, I can't push him further than what he wants. :(

Pajarita- I give cooked beans too. For pellets, I give them the Tropican brand. I know it's not the best, but it's the only available pellet here. How I pray that they'd sell Roudybush or TOPs here too :))

No, pushing him would definitely not work and would cause more harm than good. And as unfortunate as it is, even if he wants to know more, you can share everything that you know with a person, but if they are not ready to receive it then they won't understand it at all. Perhaps there might be a bird club in the area that you might be able to get him interested in? I understand, that I am looking very hard to find a way to make life better for this bird through you and his human, but that is why I am here, to help the birds if I can. At this point you have probably done much more in this situation than anyone else would have done, especially at the urgings of a total stranger to you, and I thank you for your time and effort. I will also understand if you feel that you have done all that you are comfortable with, but I may still ask about them on occasion until you lose contact with them. Thank you.

There's your problem. If they have high protein available all day long, they won't go out of their way for it (it's also very unhealthy for them).
