Hi There, Im Rashwin. I own an African Grey Parrot for about 2 Years now. He is actually close and tame to my sister but he does take treats such as sunflower seeds from my hands. My sister would be able to preen him around the neck and give him a scratch under his wings and the minute she reaches home. He screams her name out and he gets excited with her presence only and im very upset about this because my dream was to have an african grey parrot and when i got it. He chose my sister to be his owner and as you said it is something related to one person parrot aggression but he is fine with my presence near his cage and he takes treats from my hand as i told you but why is he not stepping up on my hands and i have trained him to target but if he is on a branch in his cage he would not get down from it, which means i can only target him on that branch he is on. my concern is now how can i get him to target anywhere around the cage and from there i think i would make him to step up and i hope you can assist me on this matter.
