Mouth as a clicker?

Postby Hookturn » Tue Aug 25, 2015 6:24 pm

So now that my baby can fly, I find myself in situations where I don't have a clicker. For instance, I see her ready to take off, so to reinforce the behavior, I call her. And she almost always comes. But I do not have my clicker and sometimes no treats (sadly I almost always have a seed or 10 in my pocket. Sadly for the washing machine and my girlfriend. Lol) so I've taken to just making a clicker sound with my mouth. Any thoughts?

I don't use any clicking sound at all and I don't give them any rewards, either. I call them, they come, I give them love... it seems to be enough for them. But if you want to use a clicking sound made by your mouth, it's fine.

If you remember Spiral from years ago as a member. She was handicapped and could not use a clicker so she just made mouth sounds.
