He does look big.Also is there a difference between regular flight feathers and flight feathers that curve? Plum headed parakeets have curved flight feathers.

Unless there is something of a known size right next to the bird, pictures are worthless for judging the size of the bird. You never know the distance from the bird the picture was taken nor the angle of it, and then there is the interplay of light and shadow that further distort the picture. Then since I don't know that much about photography there are, who knows what or how many other factors that I don't know about to consider with pictures.

Hehe, one doesn't need to be a photography master to know these. You are absolutely right; also, comparing a bird to a person's hand or fingers isn't a good idea either because people vary in size and shape too! Plus light is a huge factor.

While this is a bit of an offtopic thing and pertains more to wild birds in nature rather than pet parrots, it's still a very fun read anyway!
