My parrot is freindly and will step up and give kisses however he does nt like to be touched is there anyway in which i can teach him to be scratched, let me touch him and teach him to wave and shake

Ive been trying this technique but my parrot keeps putting his beak towards my hand nd not letting me get too close what should i do

To teach your bird that your hands are rewarding, you can probably use the techniques outlined in this article, where I overcome some mild aggression with a senegal parrot:

Kathleen is 100% correct and it all does really work. Our Cockatiel was pretty much the same. Once trained he loved being with us, enjoyed doing tricks etc and even loved the head/neck scratch, but no way he would let you touch his back or hold him. With lots rewarding and telling him how well he was doing I can hold him upside down and pretty much do what ever I like and he is very trusting.
