But what is she eating now? Because if she does not eat fruits, veggies, cooked whole grains, pellets or greens the only thing left is seeds/nuts and you can't free-feed seeds or any other high protein, high fat food to a bird with fatty liver - especially since she is not getting medicated for it or her high cholesterol (did the vet do an avian chem panel on her and bile acids?).

Changing her diet is essential because she needs to eat low protein, low fat and lots and lots of phytonutrients (for the enzymes!). The vitamins are good but not enough... Amazons are actually great eaters but, in her case, with her poor vision, it will be harder than with a healthy one - that's for sure! She also needs supplements to clean up her liver and lower her cholesterol ASAP (milk thistle, dandelion root, red rice yeast, aloe vera juice from the inner filet in her water, methionine or SamE and I would also use alfalfa and lactulose on her). I also would not wait until next January... especially if her claws and beak are growing faster than they should (they are both symptoms of advanced liver malfunction).

One of our members got an amazon with high cholesterol and despite the initial improvement in her appearance and demeanor from a change in diet, supplements and even medications, she died so, please, don't waste any time bringing her back to the avian vet because she needs much more than vitamins and baths.
