Bonding with Pepper

Postby RudysMom » Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:02 am

how do I make sure Pepper and me bond together,he has been a little nippy since day one and we have had him now for a good month, some times he will step right up and other times he will start to step up and give you a nice little bite instead, when he is on top of his cage he is the most bitey if you try to get him to step up so I wait until he is comeing down from the top or on his boing in the door of his cage and I didn't know a senagals eyes pinned so I try to watch his body movements and his eyes lol :senegal:

Don't let him on top of the cage then. Set up a separate playgym/tree area in neutral territory away from the cage. Teach target, step up, and some tricks to build a better relationship.
