What training have you done? Define scared? Will she come out of the cage on your hand? Does she fly away?

Clipping wings is a totally different subject. It is not hard to get used to having a flying bird in your house as long as the windows and doors are shut.

she shakes a little when i get close to her but i can get her on my finger and pet her. and sometimes even grab her. my dog will bark out side when i take my bird out and the only type of training i used is flooding. she cant get out of the cage with my hand but with the perch shes fine.

if you have it in a room that has a door start to keep the door shut because the bird is probably scared of the beagle because the beagle is bigger than it also from now on when you take the bird out make sure that your dog is no where near the room cause barking and loud noise can easily scare parakeets. if you have trouble with your parakeet not wanting to come out of the cage get it out and put it on a perch outside the cage and give it treats for sitting there so that it thinks that coming out of the cage is rewarding!!!!!!!!!!!!! :budgie: :budgie: :budgie: :budgie: :budgie:

That would also be a good time to start clicker training. Basically you click and give a treat. The bird then associates the click with getting a treat and eventually when you start training, a certain action + click = treat... There are many topics in this forum and the internet in general that I won't repeat it all here ;)
