Giving kisses.

I finally was able to teach my bird some of the basic tricks. I taught my Parakeet to give kisses. It only took ten minutes. All I did was kiss his beak and give a treat and he learned.

Does she make a kiss sound or just rubs her beak against you?

Right now just rubbing his beak on me. How do you teach them to do the sound? After saying can I have a kiss and then kissing his beak and giving him a treat, he caught on and started giving the kisses!

I suppose the same with any vocalization, just keep repeating it and hope they pick it up and want to repeat it

Cute Just do the noise whenever you kiss him and he will learn.

Our male Vosmaeri Eclectus LOVES kisses, he does the sound too, it almost sounds like when you hear a kiss on a cartoon. He would have kisses all day if he had his way, puts his beak against your mouth and waits for you to kiss him, then does the noise back

My baby CAG who is 6 months also givess kisses now. He also makes the noise although we taught hima different one, a series of three kissy noises, he repeats them and just comes back for more and more kisses. He learned wolf whistles at about 5 months and now does one after kisses

Our new baby U2 is very affectionate and I give her ksises already, she comes back for more and just puts her whole face against yours, very sweet
