Motivation

How do you set up your training sessions?

Do you weigh his food? Or just train before feeding times? How do you get your parrot to WANT to do anything. I have a stepping-up, target-trained parrot but that was done through other techniques than pure motivation work-for-food. How do I initiate the work-for-food mode.

I seemed to only have got this half right. He loses interest after about 7 treats? Or am I just impatient?

If other than food methods are effective for you, just keep doing what you've been doing and don't worry about food then.
