quaker training

Postby galimana » Mon Jul 19, 2010 4:24 am

Hi all! I have a quaker 14 weeks old! Now i do a seed to pellets conversion! I have a problem with the baby! Anytime i open the cage and he comes out, he don't want to leave me! What i mean! I leave him in top of the cage he stays for about 5-10 seconds and he flies to my hand! Also he loves to come to my shoulder! Always he tries to go to my shoulder! All the time he is out of the cage he is on me! he does not stay on stand or at the top of the cage (i have perch there). What can i do? He goes to the top of the cage if i don't offer my finger and i deny to sit at me! But this again only for some seconds, then he flies again on me! What can i do? Also when he is on my finger he loves to bite (not aggression) my fingers, me pull my hair of my fingers and when he is on my shoulder he loves my ear! Please give me yours advices! Thank you very much!

What about giving it something to do? Have you tried providing food/toys?

if he is hungry he will eat the food and then the same again, he also loves to bite my watch or my wedding ring! Someone from petshop sayed that because he is young he wants to play! I have toys in his cage and he loves them! he play many hours with them!
