My lovebird nibbles and shoulder perches alot.

Okay she is very tame and allows me to do alot with her but she is obsessed wit hiding on my shoulder and nibbling on my ear. How do I get her to stop nibbling my ear and jumping on my shoulder?

Awww she loves you!!! :swaying: The nibbling is her showing affection and trying to preen you. Feel flattered! And to get her not to do it, don't let her on your shoulder. Either make her perch on your hand or a free-standing perch, and reward her with a treat when she perches where you want her. Be patient, she will understand eventually. My caique Galileo wants to be a shoulder-percher, but she bites for blood when she is up there...

my conure loves to nibble on my ear (in other words, try to peirce it) luckily I have long hair to protect them. All the guys shes been on get a friendly bite on their ears though (or lips or nose) oops... I can't really add anything else to what azure said

Kika does the same thing. At the moment he is only allowed on my shoulder of a special occasion, meaning, when I want hin up there. Usually that is after a trainingsession, he gets a ride back to his playstand or cage.
If you dont allow the bird on your shoulder except when you put it there, it will look at that as a very special reward.

My PJ used to do that all of the time (maroon belly conure). Then he gave my son a nice bite on the ear and turned it bright red!
