fearful lovebird

Postby jspearo » Thu Sep 02, 2010 7:37 pm

I have an african peachfaced lovebird, who came to us, in our yard. We don't know
where he came from. He is very fearful of us, when we walk by the cage, put our
hands in the cage, he runs to the back of the cage and hides behind one of his toys.
I am using millet seed strands to try and tame him. But whenever I put my finger
too closes or move it, he jumps away. What do we need to do?
