i have a problem. can anyone help me?

Postby waika94 » Wed Dec 29, 2010 5:13 am

im a new bird owner and for the past couple of days i been target training my budgie (kirby). the first 2 days he was doing well with no distractions and actually made really good progress. he actually follows the target stick around. but on day 3 he started flying off in the middle of training and whenever i go and get him back he just keeps on flying away again. i keep my training sessions short (5-10 mins). anyone know how to keep your bird from flying off in the middle of a training session?

Probably not motivated or distracted. Just be patient and try again later. Not every training session will be productive. Make sure the budgie is motivated and training will be more successful.
