For training, it's best to do several short sessions a day. About 10-20mins depending on the attention span of the bird. Most birds can't concentrate for much longer. Electus parrots are intelligent and will probably be able to focus for more than smaller birds, but to make things fun and interesting, don't go over 15-20mins each time, and have several sessions during the day.

I do three fifteen minute sessions a day with Rory. Otherwise he gets bored, or his belly gets full and he's not interested in performing anymore.
