It would be a little bit harder, but your budgie will certainly be happier for it. Budgies are VERY social flock birds and tend to do better in pairs/groups in my opinion.

It is, but it is still doable.

When I first got Sputnik he was my only bird and he bonded with me quickly and learned tricks quickly too. I recently brought home another budgie. I bring her to another room to work with her so she's not distracted by Sputnik but they get to calling each other and then the only thing she is concerned about is getting back to him. If I train in the same room Sputnik tries to eat her treats.

Be consistent and don't give up! :)

Pictures please :)

Yes, they are much harder to tame if you have two. It's not impossible though. I have two budgies in the same cage. They are petsmart budgies, so they were never tame. However, with dedication, I can get my budgies to step up, and they enjoy sitting on my shoulder. The female always tries to preen my hair.

They are not as tame as my cockatiel, as he is my companion parrot, but they do have a special place in my heart.
