Bad day?

Postby Maighen » Mon Feb 21, 2011 2:02 pm

Do birds have bad days? Today seems to be CAG Frankie's bad day. We have been working on trust and he has been taking treats from me. Today though he has only been out of his cage once....has not touched his toys....takes the treats and throws them and has been growling more then he has the last couple of days. I just wonder if he woke up a little moody today. :gray:

Oh yes, they can wake up grumpy and have bad days, just like us. Do keep an eye on him though... if you notice he's not eating or fluffing up or other warning signs, he'll need to go to the vet.

I will definitely keep an eye on him. He has been eating his pellets.....he just doesn't want any interaction today! :( Stubborn boy!!!!

They definitely have moods! My GCC gets mad at me when I've been away for a couple of days, and he's a very uncharacteristically angry bird for a while. They can also just have a grumpy day as pchela said!

Frankie and I have had a couple of good days! He is starting to mimic more sounds and even appears to get a little excited when I approach his cage. He does growl and jump to the floor if I walk up to him while he is hanging out on top of his cage. But we are working on it :D
