Hi guys,
It's been a few weeks, so I thought I'd post an update. For the first 5-8 days, I had to re-glue at least one string every night before going to bed. But eventually, Clover lost interest in the strings.
Having good new shredding and chewing toys on the stand helped a lot. One thing that especially worked great was that the top of the stand lifts off the bottom. I lifted it and put 3 toilet paper tubes on the "legs" of the top portion. She is now spending much of her chewing time chewing those up, and I can easily replace them each night.
She hasn't chewed any strings at all in the past week, even in the four days my husband took care of her while I was out of town. (Though he left her on it unsupervised once and she flew to my keyboard and ate the letter "P"). So far so good...
