Okay I have 4 Parakeets...

My friend just recently gave his cockatiel away he couldn't take it between work and college, I guess it all depends on my college schedule but that's a year from now. Right now I really want one.


Right now you want one but a parrot, any parrot, no matter the size, is a commitment. You need to know you will be able to care for it for the next 20 some years.

I say, wait until you go to college. If you don't know if you are going to be able to care for it, then I suggest just keep working on the budgies.

Well I always wanted a Cockatoo and I felt that a Cockatiel was a mini copy of it.


Though cockatiels are just mini cockatoo's, they really don't share the neurotic personalities of the other cockatoos.
