Problem target training...

I am having trouble with my CAG and target training. He will target some, but then quickly either wants to be petted with the target stick or starts whinning (while targeting) and seems to get very frustrated...any advice???

Keep practicing if its only the whining thats the problem. Our little fella does that sometimes but its gotten a lot better. How old is your bird?
Do NOT pet him with the target stick, that should be for targeting and targeting only. Its the same with biting, dont let him bite it.
