bonding!?

Postby lovebirdlover » Wed Jun 15, 2011 9:30 am

I think this goes here?.....yesterday i took Anna (Annabelle) out of her cage to let her sit on my hand and explore my room. But when i was going to pet her she opened he mouth like she was going to bite... sometimes she's unsure about hands because of being parent raised. So then i got the idea of putting a waterdrop on my finger then putting the drop on her beack to let it roll down into her mouth. So i tried it and she was actually enjoying it.But i wanted to know will this make her trust fingers/hands more or will this make her think my finger is food.

thanks

Whatever positive interaction is GOOD. If she likes it, keep doing it!
I'd look into target training as well. Don't ever force anything physical she doesn't like.
