So the Senegal I will be getting in the next couple of weeks has been allowed to be on her breeders shoulder and I guess actually prefers his head. This is a problem for me as I would rather not have a bird on top of my head in my hair. It happend once with a cockatiel and it took another persons assistance to get the bird off my head

But anyways the more important reason is I dont want my face, ears, neck or anything else to get bit. I also wear a lot of makeup which is toxic so its just best for the both of us to not have her on my shoulder. Also with some cockatiels I've held they were quick little boogers and stubborn and they would pretty much automatically wanted to climb up to my shoulder and try and nip if I tried to take them off. So is there anything I can do other than just keep taking her off my shoulder and hopefully have her stop trying?
I just remember the difficulty with those cockatiels. I tried to get them to step up before they climbed up to my shoulder but they'd just run faster up there
