Training my cockatiel to lay on his back

Postby laducockatiel » Mon Sep 05, 2011 9:01 am

Well, I've been wanting to teach my cockatiel to lay on his back, for trimming his nails and the regular checkup at the vet and all. But he Hates it and never stops trying to escape. Then when I try again, he flies off. He is hand tame, but he won't let me touch his wings. I'm not sure what to ! Id really appreciate any help if there's anyone who has already taught their parrot this trick! Thanks :D
