Finally got baldy out of her cage!!

Postby lwis » Mon Sep 26, 2011 10:13 pm

Hey, I had posted a while back about how I was having some difficulty with getting Reno the macaw to come out of her cage at the store she resides at. She wouldn't step up from her perch, but, as it turns out, she will step up when she is on the door of her cage. She has been out a few times this week and is having a blast! She loves to visit the other birds and ask what everything is. If only I could take her home with me (sigh). I managed to get a cute picture of her while she was out, and I would love to share it, but I don't really know how. I am not the best with computers. Any help?

Thanks for the help! It took a little while, but I figured it out :D.
Well here she is, having fun in the mirror.
She is my little chicken, and I wish I could take her home, but for now we'll have to settle for a few visits a week.

You can see some feathers coming in on her wings. Quite a few have grown in on her back and she has some pin feathers on her chest that she hasn't plucked yet. I hope she keeps it up; I doubt she'll ever be fully feathered again, but she has made a ton of progress. I am so proud of her!
