How do you get a green winged macaw to Target train when they attack the stick?

Click and reward before it makes full contact with the stick.

Also, if you have a green wing attacking the stick, you must have a stock pile of sticks 'cause there can't be much left LOL!

You can also use a thicker stick like a 1/4 to 1/2 inch dowel. Make it last a little longer and take away some of the distraction.

Well not sure Target training is working to well. She has a bad habit of biting. Really have to watch fingers. She is new to us for about 2 weeks. Maybe the biting will stop over time.
