Hi,
I have a 7 week old IRN and hes eating millet an chews seed and loves mushed up apple, first i was wondering what sort of treat would be suited to an IRN, because i havent found his favourite food, he comes out of his cage and steps up and down fine. how old shjould he be before i start target training, and first i need a clicker, where can i find them and are they just clickers, or are they called something speacial. i am goin to look on ebay

Most birds love sunflower seeds and nuts like walnuts, peanuts or pine nuts as treats. You can buy a bag of mixed seed and offer him a handful, along with a variety of nuts. That should help you and your IRN discover what he loves the best.

Clickers are available at most pet stores, in the dog section. You can start clicker training as soon as your bird is eating solid food. Your bird is very young though, so if he loses interest quickly don't push it. Keep training sessions short and fun!
