My Sun Conure has gone through days like this... I find that positive distraction is key... instead of allowing him to do "bad" things, give him things to do that are "good" and enjoyable to both you and him... eventually he will get used to the "good" things and stop doing the "bad".
Don't use punishment, as birds don't learn punishment very well.
Some basic trick training is a good way to give him something positive to do and work for treats. When he starts to learn that he gets treats for good behaviour, he'll start to do more things for those treats. Give him a treat and say "good bird" every time he steps up without biting.
Make sure you aren't reacting in any way to his biting... if you put him back in his cage, he may learn that biting is getting him what he wants- back in his cage... or maybe you're doing something else when he bites or acts crazy that he likes so he repeats it...
Lastly, make sure he is getting enough sleep... if he's tired, he'll get cranky. He should have at least 10-12 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.
A simple adjustment to a few little things should do the trick... don't worry, he'll be back to "normal" soon!
