Hi roy,

no not on the bottom of the cage. I would put it near the cage door, a perch nearby so Reggie can get their easy. After a couple of days my two birds came already running to the bowl when they saw me. That is the time where you can switch to touching the finger/targetstick. Afterwards immediately
"Good Boy" and your treat. Once the bird understood, touching the finger/targetstick he will do it outside the cage, no worry. Makes it all easier!
