hi advice again ha!! chico will take food out of my hand rub heads i can stroke him but he wont stepon to my hand any reason or easy option to do this?? :gray: :gray: :gray: thanks

Easy? Well it can be, depending on your bird. They are all different personalities, and some take easier to training than others.

Work with target training, and start with targeting your parrot around on a perch (getting this to work may take many weeks). Then target him onto a stick (handheld perch) and work with this for a while. After that you can SLOWLY and over a time, put your fingers closer and closer towards the end of the stick. When that works, remove the stick and work with stepping up on your fingers. This can take a while, and DONT rush it. Make sure your bird is comfortable with each step before progressing.

That said, this can be done in an afternoon, or it can take a few months. Its all down to the bird and you.
