Taming two parakeets

I recently got two parakeets. From the start, they have been living in the same cage. I just recently started removing their food and getting them to jump on my hand and eat. I've been successful with that on four occasions. I've noticed all the time that one parakeet won't react until other has reacted. My goal now is to get them to sit on my finger and to be able to take them out of the cage. What would be the best thing for me to do next?
