Will he bite me the first time i get him out of his carrier even if his hand reared, ? And i was just wondering could any green cheek owners give me some advice, ?, thanks, (: :gcc:

He will be fine for 3 hours in a car, but make sure if its hot that you dont leave him inside if you stop off anywhere for a break. Keep a grape or something similar in the travel cage which he can nibble for food/moisture if he gets thirsty.

He may try to bite when you get him out the carrier or he may not. I think the more you mess about the more likely you are to get bitten so be confident and just grab him over his back before he realises whats happening (but not so fast you hurt him or scare him). Put him straight into his cage and let him settle in for a few hours-couple of days depending how quick he settles in.

If your bringing him home in a cardboard carrier you may be able to place it in the bottom of the cage, open it and let him find his own way out or open it in front of the door and hold it open there to let him climb in himself. That way you definitely wont get bitten.

I do suggest you get used to the idea of being bitten though and dont let their tiny beaks intimidate you. As much as their beaks can hurt and can occassionally leave you bleeding they can't do any real damage. Green cheeks have a reputation for being nippy but this will improve with time when dealt with correctly.

Thanks for your reply, that makes me feel better that he isn't going to get injured on the way back, ! and it also makes me feel better that they can't do any real damage when they bite, thanks heaps, (: :gcc: :gcc:
