very extreme wing clipping style??

hello everybody,
i just realize that my new african grey is really in a big trouble.
he came to me with a wings clipped,but i realize the style is just too extreme.
only 1 wing clip and i dont see any primary wing left.
its just too SHORT,he almost look like a bird with 1 wing only.
oh god and i see the other wing is complete.
is it dangerous?
and what i have to do?should i clip the other one to make it balance?
and how long it would grow again??

That's just terrible and cruel. It's to make the bird crash and fall with completely uncontrolled flight. I wish people just wouldn't clip parrots in the first place!

Now you need to clip the other one evenly so the bird has balance.... Having only one wing clipped provides terrible coordination and the baby can fall breaking his keel bone...

Be careful not to clip too close but do clip the same feathers on the other side. Then encourage him to flap and keep his muscles strong until he grows his feathers back.

Did you find the person who did it? Give that person an "attitude adjutment".

What a shame! Poor thing he'll be all out of balance. As Michael said it may need evening up now, but not too much.

Hopefully they grow back quickly and he can get his confidence back.

i got him from rescue and they dont know any of his background.
it might be possible he is been abused or something.
can anyone tell me how long his feathers can grow back??
i will clip his other wing to make him balance,i guess thats all i can do for now

That is a very old school way to clip a bird. Sadly back in the day it was done often.

The feathers will grow back during the next few molts. Do as the others said and even out the clip. It would be best to have a Vet do the trim.
