Personality Change

Postby bjpasion » Mon May 07, 2012 5:37 pm

Hello,

Just looking to get information on what is an odd personality change for Sam my female 4 year old brown head. Starting last night, I had her on my shoulder and went to my closet to grab a blanket. At this point I went back to my living room where she launched off of me and landed (safely - she is full flight) on the carpet. I approached her like I always have to pick her up and she immediately started to run away from my hand, screeching and with her wings out. I let her calm down and she eventually walked back to my hand and stepped up. She sometimes will let me scratch her head now...but is actively afraid of me now or my hands. Though she will step up, sit on my shoulder, along with preening on me. Actively play with her toys, and eat her food like normal.....

She is out of character...she has been spoiled from day one by me and has actively seeked attention from me all the time. She always has seeked me out for comfort when others are in the room. She seems to be in a state of distrust or scared of me. Sorry about the errors in this posting I'm on currently on the road and was looking for input..

Thanks,

BP

This can happen from time to time. Maintaining a training regime really helps this. Look into retaming by following the steps that achieved tameness to begin with over again (or just do the typical basic taming routine from scratch).
