I have just adopted a 7mth old sulphur-crested cockatoo
Unlike my cheeky lorikeet, this cocky has had very little contact and I adopted him essentially to give him a chance before he became to old and no one would give him the time of day.
I am just unsure where to start with him. I have him in my room and am spending a significant amount of time just being around him, chatting to him or working on my bed. He is, understandably, very frightened, but only significantly if there is a loud noise or fast movements.
He needs his confidence built and he needs to learn that I am not here to hurt him.
If anyone could please please give me some ideas as to how to go about taming him, that would be fantastic. Thank you!!
Haley, Samson
