Hand-taming Jacob

Please suggest ways to hand-tame my Blue-Eyed Cockatoo Jacob. Besides just petting him, which parts do you think he will like to be petted? Please also share which parts of the body does your bird likes to be petted.

Just the head, petting anywhere else can encourage sexual behaviours apparently. Not sure how true that is as I only scratch the head area.

oh ok. But how to hand tame the bird? Just be with him a lot until he gets use to you?

I thoroughly suggest reading Michaels blog, he has loads of articles about various things and he says it so much better than I ever can. If you go on there and click on the site map it will give you a list of articles so you can select the relevant ones.
