need help with bandits harness

Postby Pricey_boy » Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:22 am

bandit doesnt enjoy having the harness around his neck but were working on it and when it does get around his neck he lifts his foot to play with it and when he realises he cant play with it he shakes his head trying to get it off.

he wants to play with it so much because its 1 of those ones with a bunch of clips on it rather than the pull straps

I haven't heard the greatest things about those harnesses with clips (i think the brand is feather tether brand, if I m not mistaken?). just reading around the forum gives me the idea that people are having more success with the aviator brand.

if you enter harness in the search box up at the right hand side tope corner of the page youll get a bunch of results about how people are using the aviator.

It's the only 1 I could find I looked in many pet shops because here we don't have the largest selection of bird supplies.if I buy 1 online I takes about 3 weeks to get to me

Surely that would be worth the wait though? I'm pretty sure the parrot university has free shipping to most if not all countries. In the meantime distraction methods are probably the best way to stop him obsessing about the clips but tbh I would wait for a better harness.

I gotta get the harness on him If I get the first strap around his head he shakes his body getting it off and it's hard to calm him down just to get it off him if I put it around his wings who know wht he'll do I'm gonna be working with him and the harness for a few weeks coz I won't be able to order a new 1 till next week and wait a few more weeks to get it
