New Bird, Doing so great!

Postby Jaco » Fri Jan 25, 2013 12:53 pm

Just wanted to share!:) I did not expect that our relationship with my African Grey would develop that fast! I have Larry only for 2 days and he takes food from my hands, step up on my hand and like when I pet him ( he asks to pet himself, so cute!) I really thought it would take much longer, but he did not eve try to bite me once, My only one concern, that even he is doing that great with me, he did not make any noise yet. He is very very quite! I took him to the vet-the bird is very healthy. Maybe he only seems to be adjusted to a new place, but still scared inside, dont know. I am just very happy, that he sees friend in me)))) Just wanted to share with parrot lovers:) Thanks

so happy to see your larry doing well. quiet in the beginning is normal don't worry it won't be long before he'll want his voice heard. they mostly like to watch/study you and the new home at first.

what wonderful news! so glad to hear that things are going well with your new buddy. all the best, and keep us posted :gray: :)

p.s. i agree with pennyandrocky that his quietness is normal as he gets used to your house and you.
