PLEASE HELP

Postby lori29forever » Mon Feb 18, 2013 2:33 pm

Have had my goffin cockatoo for 13 years. Her name is Little Bit. She never bites me and is very lovable. my boyfriend stepped in picture a year ago. they have gotten very close as she stays at his house week at at time. Little Bit now sees me and bites me if I come near Bill. Literally i will sit down and she will attack me . this weekend ...5 times. Im just devasatated. Love this bird and had her since she was 6 months old. Little Bit is now home with me all the time and just getting meaner with me. She seems to be in a constant state of hormone as if you touch her back she shakes like having an orgasm. My bf didnt understand what that was so he would touch her when she was like that..not in a weird way but he thought it was good for her. I told him to stop and he doesnt anymore. hes never had a bird. I have owned several birds. Its liek I am the other woman now and she is literally attacking me. Please help..I lover her dearly and not sure what to do. is she literally in her high reproductive age at 13? How can I get her to stop biting me and can she be around Bill anymore? Any help, Id appreciate it so very much....Lori

you can't take your boyfriend away now she sees him as her mate. have him over tell him not to touch her back anymore. when she tries to bite you he should tell her no, i had to do this with my boyfriend too. my ducorps attached herself to him so she would get aggressive with me when i would get close to him.
