There can be serious ramifications if your life changes down the road that changes your routine or lifestyle. The stories are real, they aren't just scare tactics. There's more to consider than just noise or buying the right sized cage (not saying you haven't realized that, but in case you haven't researched this aspect yet I urge you to). If you're rescuing then that's a slightly different story but still something to really think about. I wish you the best of luck for you and your potential parrot.
