When I say they shouldn't be laying I mean of course all females have the capacity but not all do as Parajita says. It comes down to a number of factors but its something not to be encouraged unless breeding. Interesting note, Parajita about the Jenday/Sun conure thing... just goes to show even breeders can't be trusted sometimes.

LOL - In my personal opinion, anybody who sells you anything cannot be trusted as to what they say they are selling you. But, sometimes, breeders do it out of ignorance -like what happened with the ekkies subspecies and the mixing them up, the greatest majority of them didn't even know there were subspecies.
We tend to use rescues or hobbyist but experienced breeders. Edmund was ex-show cockatiel stock and George was a hobbyist breeder referred by another person at a rescue centre after we lost our Red Rump to aheart attack after a short ownership.
