Help! What kind of bird is this?

Ok so I was surfing on the internet and came across this adorable parrot
He is 5 years old and I'd just gotten a email saying that he is still available .
I really want him but I am a newbie I don't know if im just rushing to get him I don't think I'm experienced enough (specially he is 5 years old what if he doesn't like me!)
I've basically googled all parrot species but couldn't find him!
He is similar to the dusky conure but if u google pics they have black beaks while this one has white ish beak with little bit of black. Not a Senegal he doesn't gave any yellow on him.nnot a green cheek conure,

I must know his breed before I decide whether I want him or not bcuz I need to research if he's the right bird for Me since I live in a condo, if he is in the loud bird catagory, I cannot get him then,

Yep, he's a Brown head. I grew up with one, and he was the sweetest bird ever. Not loud at all either.
And I adopted my first Senegal parrot (closely related to the brown headed, as you may know) when she was 5 years old, and things have been working out wonderfully for us.
From what I've heard, read and experienced (though my own experience is limited), BHs are generally a little "milder", maybe almost even "sweeter" in temperament, than most Sennies, and often a bit easier to handle.

I don't think you should add another bird at all if you're not sure your ready, though, but if you DO, I personally think a Brown head could be a very lovely challenge.

Brown headed parrots are absolutely adorable, they are really rare around here though but every one I've met (including mines) are the sweetest ever, and bare in mind that I have a slight problem with the smaller parrots, not because I do not think their great birds but I have trouble trusting them and well, to be honest I'm slightly intimidated by their beaks, I'd take a macaw beak any day over a budgie... Hehe. Anyways I absolutely love mines and the others I've met seems just as sweet and indeed seems sweater and milder tempered than Senegals. But then this may have something to do with the rarity around here meaning people do not wait for a year or so to get one if their not committed to do whatever they can to provide them with good care and an educated hand.

Although both mines came here as rehomes due to biting both seems to have a great base underneeth the recent biting behavior, I'm the third home for both of them and my guess is that the biting started at their second home for both of them, one of me hasn't yet bitten me and the other one occasionally throw fits and bite the living crap out of me...

But overall I think brown headed parrots seems really great mild and easygoing.

I love brownheads! In a few (as in eight or nine) years I might add one to my flock, since I've already got my hands full with two sennies and a SC 'too. But my childhood friend had one and it was absolutely adorable!!

If I may add this side note to the conversation:

If you do decide to go see him and anything seems off, he is extremely aggressive towards you, or you begin having second doubts, don't hesitate to tell the people you need time to think it over. In fact, if you do decide to go meet him I would ask if you can set up a time to do just that: meet him. Consider telling the people that you are interested but you want to see and interact with the bird before making your final decision, and make a list of questions before you go to ask them about his life so far. There's plenty of information on the types of questions to ask a parrot's current owners / breeder / etc when adopting, rehoming, or buying, around the site, so I won't get into that any further, but it's worth keeping in mind.

For a true parrot lover the prospect of bringing home a new feathery friend is hella exciting, so it's easy to get carried away! All the more reason that it's super important to think things through and make sure that it's the best scenario for both you and the bird. If you feel like you might be rushing into it, sit down, take some deep calming breaths, and come up with a list of pros and cons and things to ask the owners before you commit. c:

so are you saying that smaller birds are scarier for you because they bite more readily do to fear? thats rellated to their smal size and grater vulnerability, Although, i know regardless oi spicies every bird is individal, and who is caring for them and how they do so plays a role also.

Not really ever found a relation between sized bird and frequency of bites, atleast not what I have thought about (considering both birds being of the same tameness and under same or equal care). But I dunno it is something about the speed at wich they can get their little beaks out, and well I absolutely hate papercuts, and being bit by the small bird is pretty much the same sensational stinging feeling... I dunno I just prefer a proper beating over spanking... I know my slight fear of smaller birds is somewhat irrational and I try to get rid of it... But I am the first one to choose a too/macaw/zon or whatever to work with over a parrotlet or a budgie when they come with behavior problems such as biting... its just something about grabbing onto a peice of skin on the knuckle or ariound the nails etcetera that makes me squeel like a little girl on the inside

Irrational yeah, working on it.. yeah... something new, nope... been this way since I wasa kid scared as hell to put my fingers through the bars into the tiel while i readily everyday got bit by the vicious grey...

might add that the tiel has actually never bitten me and he is the sweetest thing ever and he is still around... but nowdays he is allowed to properly greet me as well haha.
