Yes, they can be louder than budgies but budgies chatter is almost constant (which some people cannot stand) while Sennies and Meyers do it occasionally.

Pajarita is correct. My wife has a pair of Budgies and I just adopted my 2nd Sennie. Just this afternoon, my wife commented on the Budgies constant chatter while the Sennies rarely called out. :o
