Lovebird flapping wings

What does it mean when a lovebird grabs on to the perch and flaps his wings. It is accompanied by a loud squeak and he only started when I put on some music. He likes the the music but keeps doing this weird action. What is it????

LOL - He wants to fly! Birds need to fly in order to utilize all their air sacs properly.

Ummmmm I feel bad for him. His wings are clipped. They were clipped when I bought him. Im going to let them grow out.
