That's a lot of birds Pajarita!

And you are all probably right about the harness training. I need to work on that more.

I do not own any parrots, but being a zookeeper I have worked with many beautiful species :)
Here are a few!

Bad picture of the blue-throated macaws. This cage looks small, but it is just their indoor/feeding cage, they have a huge outdoor flight aviary.

I have also worked with some very rare parrots, but because they are so endangered I cannot post any pictures of them online.

I have also owned black cockatoos before, but they aren't very rare here.

hello, just registered so this is my first post, a month ago I acquired a Mulga/Many coloured parrot, it is one of the most beautiful birds I have ever seen, sadly his previous owner has recently died, he is not one bit tame, so I am starting from scratch with him, and hes not a baby, I am told he is about 8 yrs old, but cant be sure if thats' the truth or just a guess on the part of the deceaseds son, who admits he knows nothing about the bird, who I have named merlin :budgie:

Welcome, mulgas are beautiful birds but I always wondered why they were called 'parrots' instead of parakeets... Merlin is a nice name but didn't he have one already?

Merlin has been moved pillar to post poor thing but does seem to acknowledge this name (or is it just my voice?), he seems a very happy little bird, and plays a lot!

Well, what does he call himself? Meaning, what sound does he make when he greets you or wants your attention? I have a cockatoo that says 'Hi, Zachary' (he thinks the whole thing is his name) while I have a gray that says 'Come'ere, Soff' (her name is supposed to be Sophie but, in reality, she thinks of herself as Come'eersoff -LOL - They don't always make the connection between what we think of as their name and figure out it's something completely different because of the way we address them.

That's such a cute pic of Truman, I had a such a funny thought when you said that " you have a bird that thinks he's a cow bird"...I bet Truman would say " "I have a Dad that thinks he's a wizard " :o
